Self inquiry psychotherapy is founded on the understanding that healing and transformation occurs when we know ourselves, understand ourselves, have awareness of ourselves, offer compassion and care to ourselves and an acceptance of our Self, we can create our lives from this awareness. We then can form and maintain and recreate our relationships and live from this awareness brining more fulfilment, joy, self trust, self knowing and purpose.
my therapeutic approach is based on just this. Through talk therapy, mindfulness based processes, somatic processing, parts work and the integration of the fundamentals of who we are, I can support you through self inquiry within the therapeutic relationship to create self regulation and self leadership outside of the therapy space and beyond.
Self inquiry is about becoming introspective in a supported internal investigation into emotions, thoughts, feelings, understanding and somatic expression of our understandings pf our self and experiences.

Our attachment to our primary care givers as children can affect many aspects of our lives. Within relationships we can experience harm, trauma and pain. Its also within a relationship that we can heal the harm from attachment experiences. Jesse offers a healing therapeutic relationship where a person can start to recover and rebuild into a secure attachment style.
Trauma informed practice involves recognising the symptoms and affects of trauma, stabilising the nervous system and emotional regulation and integrating fragmentation. Jesse combines contemporary neuroscience along with self inquiry, therapeutic safety and
Attachment trauma

The ultimate goal of therapy and healing is to create self leadership along with self compassion, self awareness and connection.
By connecting with the parts of ourself and meeting unmet needs, reparenting our inner child, connecting with our inner world, we can navigate our way towards our self.

Dissociation is an area of interest in Jesse's work. Recovering from trauma, restoring secure attachment systems and finding safety are the foundations of healing from dissociation. Connection with the body through somatic work, recognising and responding to needs and promoting healing within a secure therapeutic relationship are the foundations of Jesses work.
Psychological manipulation including gaslighting, can have serious impacts on our sense of self, self trust and our wellbeing.
Social oppression can affect us all in various ways. Our experience of gender, sexuality, ancestry, culture, skin colour, ability, class and many other things, can lead to the experience of oppression. This can take the form of micro aggressions, and covert behaviours, to more overt acts including physical violence, threatening behaviour and discrimination.
These are all issues I am mindful of and take very seriously, including the ways we are impacted in all aspects of our personhood.
The issues and social context surrounding the lives of LGBTIQA+ peoples and communities is an area of focus in my work. I have lived experience as a part of these communities and my services are inclusive and welcoming of the experiences of our community
